Surprise Surprise!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I have not been blogging over winter break, I have been super busy in my knitting escapades!  On Christmas day, I recieved 2 hanks of yarn, 1 skein of madelinetosh light in the colourway "Tart" and one hank of malabrigo chunky, which already turned into a hat that I designed.

My other present turned into a shawl that is currently blocking at the moment,  these photos show it before blocking

Dec 21st Apocalypse

Obla Di Obla Da

No, this post is not about the Beatles...  Sorry everyone.

Anyways, ON WITH THE BLOGGING!

School is almost out (last day is friday) and that is when the blogging gets crazy, over winter break.  Anyhow, this is what I have been working on over the past while:

The first photo is a picture of a hat that I made with malabrigo(super soft hand dyed pure merino wool), the second is a picture of me wearing the hat, the third is a picture of me, showing that I had to have the awesome red colour in my hair dyed over since I am dancing in Goh Ballet's Nutcraker as fritz, mind you I look good as a brunette if I do say so myself...  The fouth picture is an accidental one that I took while having techno troubles and I am putting cause I said so.

~Guess who...  Nathan

P.S.  this is not the only thing I have made in the past While.  In fact, an aproximate list of what I have made is right here:

10 Brimmed Hats

2 pairs of gloves

4 cowls

1 yummy malabrigo hat

On The Run

Woo hoo!!

Last night I went to see paul McCartney... IT WAS AWESOME.  Great sound with the new roof.  My favourite part was "Live And Let Die", when they let out the fire and set fireworks up, hitting the 500 million dollar roof.

Wish you were there,

~Nathan

Lest We Forget

I know that this post is one day late, but here it goes:

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

- John McCrae

Rest in Peace,
Uncle Jhonny

Learning to knit \(^_^)/

Hi everybody!

Just saying that in case you did not read the comments,
I am taking a learn to knit class at Michaels, which I
am quite excited (scared to death of) about.
The class says to use lion brand woolease thick and quick,
but I found that a CHEAPER yet higher wool content yarn is
loops and threads cozy wool, which comes in amazing colours
but may only be available at Michaels.

Bak 2 Skool

Hi yall',

this is my last tag before I bury myself in the hole, (aka school)
which I am really sad about, litterally.  But anyways, Back to school!
Now about the yarn bombing, it has a back to school theme, the apple
and the words bak 2 skool (didnt have enough space for back to school).

Back to school :(

Hi everyone,

sorry to say that school is coming,
so I might not do as much crocheting
as I would do on summer break,
(even though that is what I
would rather be doing).
Also, feel free to comment,
I would love feedback!

Flower Tag

Hi everybody!

This is a new tag that I have been working on.
The flower and the stem are made seperately so
people can move them around.

P.S.
The box in the background is somebodys office,
they are tearing the road up in front of my house.

My first yarn bomb :)

This, Being my first larger tag, has a story to it.  The top three were my first ones, but they werent getting noticed much so I went on to making the  red and blue striped one.  Of course, they werent noticed either as people walked by.  So back to Michaels for different color schemes, lo and behold mexicana yarn was on sale...  People did NOT miss that color.  But this morning I had an idea to go patriotic and put up a red and white striped one, (Canada). and later today thought that anything with a happy face would be cool, and coincidentially I picked out navy blue and white and 10 minutes later I put it up.  Unfortunately it looked like a bad take on the american flag... but I like it!!

Technical Difficulties

Hi everyone, sorry to say that I cannot upload pictures yet, but I will very soon.
